Categories allow calculating subtotals and making reports-Categories are nested within each other, forming a category tree.

Movements in a child/leaf category are accounted for in the parent/trunk category. Example.

You can add some descriptive notes to your categories to make it clear to all users

or to your future self (your category standardization) What corresponds in it, etc.. If a category has notes they will be shown to you when you hover over the name.

to delete a category if it is linked to Movements:

• Recurring movements
• Plans
• You must change these records to delete the category

A deleted category.

is completely removed from the system:

• If you want to remove a category but keep those old records you can

archive the category An archived category.

is removed from forms and the categories screen:

• old values are not deleted but do not appear in reports.
